MK is a great game. It can be a bit frustrating using the Wiimote and Nunchuck, but the game allows you to use the Gamecube controller if you prefer, so that saves it. The gameplay is great, with regular kombat, konquest mode (sort of like Shaolin Monks), and motor kombat. Also, the kreate a fighter feature is truely awesome.

a good twist on a great game. the wii remote makes special move ALOT eaiser to perform. the only set back is that they took away online play.

A game where, because of the developers' own lack of foresight, the player must accommodate to a fickle and unresponsive control scheme. It can be fun, just be prepared for a lot of frustration... or use a GCN/classic controller.

In a word: AWESOME. The interactive specials are easy to do and the fatalities are awesome. The controls are easy to learn and this game is amazingly addictive.

*Long sigh* Mortal Kombat, for years you've brought me so much blood, such horrid violence, and such gruesome fatalities that I thought after you'd get stale like the entire Star Trek: Enterprise series. But, you've managed to spear me toward you yet again and here are the reasons why.
Mortal Kombat Armageddon for the Wii features a brand new control scheme that makes playing the game easier than throwing balls of ice. In fact, to test out just how easy it was, I put myself to the test. Using Sub-Zero I fought against a friend with the Classic controller and found it a bit difficult to use my favorite special moves. I nearly got sliced in half by him. When I switch the the Wii remote with the nunchuk, I was playing like a pro! I beat him so badly that he wanted to switch controllers for the next fight! (I only have one nunchuk attachment, one classic controller, and two gamecube controllers.) It wasn't perfect, though. Sometimes, the motions didn't register at all and the game got really frustrating.
Konquest mode has never played better. It's like a cross between a 3D brawler from yesteryear mixed in with a fighting game. And you can still do fatalities in brawler modes! Killer! The story is pretty awesome, too. You play as Taven (one of two sons of a God and a sorceress). Taven is given a quest and is attacked by his brother Daegon who seeks full god hood from the same quest. You encounter quite a few main characters like Scorpion and Goro and Raiden all while leaving behind a massive trail of blood and body parts. The ending, though is what really got to me. It was as cheap as the final scene of the Sopranos finale. I won't spoil it for you, despite it's extreme krappiness with a 'K'.
There's also the new Motor Kombat mode which serves as a simple distraction if you grow bored of mercilessly ripping enemies apart. I only played it once and didn't really enjoy it all that much.
All in all, Mortal Kombat Armageddon made me forget about Red Steel and the Sopranos and earns a four out of five.

I Just needed a Fighting game for my friends and I. We really kick ass in this fantastic blood-thirsty game.
Great fighting game, same engine as the previous two but the Konquest in this game is more fun and advanced than Streets of Rage ever was. The fatalities are a little difficult for variations. I can rip the head off every time but thats about it and there are supposedly a hundred different variations.

by far the best third party fighting game, yes, better than street fighter 2. the character selection is jam-packed with every character from the previous games, as well as a few new additions. it stuck true to the arcade style fighting while giving you more options like kreate a fighter, motor kombat, and a new konquest mode. all are decent and very playable. the only thing weighing this game down are the special moves and fatalities while using the wii remote. they're unresponsive at times. still very playable and fun, while being gruesome and graphic
muy buen juego de peleas, pero un poco lento los movimientos.
Quite good - but handling and controlling is sometimes poor (using wiimote and nunchuck)

This gotta be one of the best moral kombat's to date. The best part is you get to choose how to control the game. WiiMote and Chuk, Clasic, or Game Cube(Wavebird!). The wii version gets an exclusive person, Kameleon the female version. The fighting is ez to perform and your bound to find a control style you like. I Love fight games and this is one of the best of the Wii.

If you use the Gamecube or classic controller this game is ok. But if you use the wii mote and the nun chuck the game is a new experience. You use the wii mote to draw lines across the screen to do you special moves. This idea was ok but sometimes you will try to execute a special move and do something instead. Overall it is just Mortal Kombat with drawing

Lots of characters, easy to figure out controlls allows you to jump right in. Would be better if you could play online.

An amazing game with blood everyone enjoys, but the cotrols are hard to get used to when trying to do special asit either does the wrong one or does not do it at all, but whem your playing moter kombat you should stick to the wii remote as its way more fun than a classic controller or gamecube controller.

What can I say, the violence is enjoyable. And the extra modes are a nice sidetrack. Not much to fault except the weird profiling system (what's the point?) and the fact you can only have 1 created character. (I made a perfect Hulk, Goku and then just a demon thing)

Great responsive controlling, lots of fighters, online would have been a plus. Create a fighter is always good.

Hated this game for ps2, and Wiis controls couldnt save it. The whole online thing may have saved it for ps2, but since that was all taken out for Wii (-.-; ) the game is basically garbage.

Unless you are a hardcore hardcore MK fan dont get this. I love fighting genre the most in games but this is just a turd smear on the face of fighting games.

Mortal Kombat is great. This game is great. It really got me back into playing my Wii again. This game should be on everyone's list behind Twilight Princess.
I loved this game but none of my friends wanted to play it so i traded it in for guitar hero 3.

I am still used to the old Mortal Kombat, so this is a VERY welcome change.

Multiple modes, to include racing, and the role playing game are great.
