It's kind of a bummer miis aren't used, but I guess they wouldn't really fit in with the unique manga art style (which looks fantastic by the way). The game is kinda skimpy on content, and outside of a sparring mode, tutorial and single-player campaign, the only real other option is a 2 player mode, which can be good fun if you got someone else who's willing to get beat up on.
All in all, a good game, provided you use the right controls and don't mind nonsensical anime dialog. It's got a goofy personality and is a solid attempt at a boxing game, and it definitely outshines Wii Sports Boxing by adding more control depth and an enjoyable single player mode. If Virtual boxing is your thing, don't hesitate to make this part of your collection. And even if it's not your thing, you should at least rent it to experience how much better it is over its Wii Sports counterpart. You just might like it.
