What can I say... It's Resident Evil 4!
I haven't played the series before, but this game actually rocks! It's anything a gamer could ever want from a survival horror game...
Zombie-like People? Check. Awesome bossfights? Check. Always fearing that behind the next corner sits an enemy and you don't have enough ammo? Check.
The story has its twists, but the gameplay is absolute fantastic, maybe because it's the Wiimote, as it's very fun shooting with the Wiimote in your hands at the screen... This title really makes me want to play another Resident Evil title, and I surely hope Umbrella Chronicles will be as much fun!
When I first picked up Resident Evil 4 for the GameCube I fell in love. My friend Eli and I played through the game a total of 5 times before giving it a rest.
When RE4 was announced for the Wii I was overjoyed.. and with the PS2 additional content? What could be better?!
Nothing. Gears of War - move over. Halo... yeah, whatever. Resident Evil 4 is where it's at. It's a stellar adventure, showcasing the graphic capabilities of the GameCube that even the original Xbox struggled to compete with. The bosses are outstanding, the weapon and bartering system is extremely rewarding, and the hordes of zombies intent on eating your face create epic battles you'll never forget.
I've played through it on the Wii now twice, and it just doesn't get old. There's always a reason to play through it just one more time, and the additional content insures you'll be playing this game for a very long time.
Now, if you'd excuse me, I have to go unlock the hand cannon...
Resident Evil 4 is Probably the best game ever made! And it will always be that way. Now with the Wii you will play as leon and feel the scare tactics Re4 uses.
I'm a vet to the game but this new way to play makes it so much fun. Plus it's only $30, its win/win! One though it seems like the the pixels are more noticable in this version but the graphics are still beautiful.
alright finally wii is getting some seriously good games added to its library, this game makes good use of the wii controls, takes like a minute or two to get it down, then it just feels like a second nature
I have to say even though I have the PS2 version, it feels different and better on the Wii.I absolutely love it (even more)! The movement of actions translate beautifully. It includes the extras of the PS2 and it's just plain awesome.
i loved this game on the gamecube and on the wii theres nothing differnt. i wish they would of had more wiimote controls like turny leon with the wiimote. Its fun but its to much of a streight port of the game
I love this game. I was playing through the PS2 version when I heard this one was coming out so I stopped playing it and traded it in so I would be able to play through the Wii version with having beaten the other or gotten to far in so it can still be a new experiance.
Hands down the best shooter on the Wii so far. If you've played any of the previous versions, well...that doesn't matter. Get this, no matter what. NOW!

Yes, even if you played the other versions.The Wii version is the best hands down.I will not be buying RE:5 if it doesn't come to Wii.This game along with the other few shooters on the Wii have made it hard for me to play shooters with the traditional control scheme.After Metroid Prime 3 comes I doubt I'll be able to play any shooters if they're not on the Wii.The exceptions might be GRAW2 and the new SOCOM for PS3. Unless Nintendo can get some serious hardcore shooters online with clans,headsets,and chat and whatnot.Then it would be a wrap.
Anyway for 30$ how could anyone complain.The motion control and ir aiming make this game even better than before.And some places have a 10$ dollar rebate on the game I got mine at FYE with that rebate so really only 20$ great deal great game.
RE4 is by far the best looking Wii game I have ever seen, I completly satifys me in the visuals department, whats even better is that the story is just as good if not better. The Wiimote gives the game new life for the people who've played the game before, it impoves accuratcy dramatically, also while you shoot you get to control where the camera faces which for me is even better. I have played this games 2 times already and I'm currently on my 3rd playthough. It gets really intense and scary when you first see the "ganados", but you'll eventualy get used to it. Another good thing about the game is the unlockables which gives you even more reasons to keep playing.
I also think that the number of bosses were a bit dissapointing, but the ones that are there are really enjoyable, long, and a little hard. The music wasn't that bad, but more of it would have sufficed.There are also somethings that you'll find a little bothersome but it won't drastically change your experience.
In all this game is worth way more than $30.
Graphics=9.7 Its hard to beleive that a GCN game could beat many Wii games in almost every department.
Gameplay=9.0; a strafe feature would have been nice.
Sound=7.6; not that much music to get you in the game.
Replay Value=8.9; unlockables gives you more reasons to beat it again.
Overall=9.7; anyone can enjoy this great game. : )
Just started and boy I am impressed, it takes some time to get the controls right. Just ended up shooting at the floor when to many zombies attack at first... What's that noise? oooooooonnnnnnnnn n....
Yeah this game is just WOW. I loved this game so much for Gamecube, but I didn't have I just borrowed it from a friend and never beat it. But now I have the Wii Edition and it's just fabulous. It is well worth the $30 price tag. A definate buy.
Holy crap, this is the scariest game ever. But it's hella fun. And hella awesome. Sometimes I don't want to play it because it's so scary... But it's so fun! There's nothing better than sniping a guy's headoff from far away and watching it explode. I always play this with my friend and we scream and laugh the entire time. I still can't believe I have the cajones to play this game sometimes. I'm such a chicken.
The question used to be .Daddy or chips' now it's 'life or Resident Evil 4', as the film put it (Trainspotting) 'choose life' now it's 'Choose life after death' now go kill some gnarley village hillbilly zombies and ride that wave of pain and distruction to the last. Amen.
resident evil 4 wii is an amazing and exciting game to play even if you already beat the gc or ps2 versions, the wii version is the best out of all of them, its got all the bonus content of the ps2 version and the gorgeous graphics of the gc, plus its got the pixel perfect controls of the wii which are fantastic, all this for the bargain price of 30$, so do yourself a favor and pickup this game up, youll enjoy every second of it, this is a must for every wii owner, so if ur looking for a good action/adventure game with a good story (other than zelda tp) re 4 wii is the game for you : )

When it comes on gameplay the Wii makes it very special.You do need the Nunchuck to make the character move around the game and with the Remote you can aim and shoot the zombies down.And with those elements this game gets 5 star achievements from me.
Althoug don't expect next-gen graphics like the X360 or the PS2.At Capcom they did not even brush up the graphics,so I think they online worked at the controls of the game and then ported it to the Wii.But all in all the gameplay makes it all worth it.
just as great as the gamecube version. same story, just with the PS2 additions. aiming is a lot better in this game and doing actions has improved. what i don't get is why did nintendo power give the GC one 10 and this one 9.
I like the graphics and how the game play is im done with the game and i think its awsome its better then the gamecube version because you get tp point the wii remote for the aimer.
This was a great game on the Gamecube and its even better on the Wii. Its the samething as the GC release, but you get the PS2 unlockables and you get a new fun way of playing it, the Wiimote. And if you don't like the Wiimote, you can still use the Gamecube controller on the Wii version, as well as the classic controller.
The only thing that sucks is that they don't update the graphics or give you more unlockables.
This is though, the best version of the game available.
