I think this news may be a few weeks old but I only just found out about it and was pretty shocked. Although the more I think about it the more a Sonic RPG could work quite well. All the info on it so far is that it's being developed by BioWare and is scheduled for a US & EU release anytime next year. Apparently there will be more info on it in the February issue of Nintendo Power.
There's no question as to whether or not it's real. As for a release date all we have right now is 2008. I'm really interested in seeing how these cut scenes turn out though and whether or not they'll be voiced.
I just got and read the February Nintendo Power. This is on the Cover. Looks great, but I'm still skeptical. I'll probably end up getting it in the long run.
It's starting to look very very good now. I think the exploration will make or break it basically. But the battle system and the dialogue options seem to be fantastic.
Sorry, did you say Silver? How on earth can Silver be your favourite character? He's hardly even a character, he was just created in Sonic 06 (that god forsaken game) because Sonic team didn't think they'd created enough pointless characters as it is. I somehow doubt he'll be in it anyway, BioWare seem to be concentrating on the established characters.
Somehow I think both this and Sonic Unleashed won't dissapoint, especially since this isn't being handled by Sonic Team and Sonic Unleashed is being made by a revamped Sonic Team since they basically sacked all the people that worked on the last console Sonic game.

well I just like Silver for some reason, and he has been in several games..... ok maybe only 5 but still... It's kinda a tie between him and Knuckles

Ancost, Sonic doesn't suck at all.
Sonic Chronicles looks amazing, and Sonic Unleashed looks like a okay game. Sonic might have a good year.
