This is the Wii version of Animal Crossing, obviously, and looks better than ever. I'll just say what I saw in a couple E3 videos (I'll post youtube links later)
- Main aspects seem to be same: you come to town, start a house and all that other stuff
- Added City area. Has mainly a lot of stores such as GracieGrace, Shampoodle's Salon, and more
- HRA has their own building and allows you to see what your friends are doing
- At Shampoodle's Salon you can put on a "Mii mask" which should be self-explanatory
- I believe they said it comes with a Wii Voice Chat add-on called WiiSpeak, allowing you to talk to others
This is just some of what I saw on the vids, my god I'm getting it for x-mas (I think it said an '08 release
I never said it was a surprise, I guessed this would be announced donkeys ago as well. In fact Nintendo Official Magazine revealed it a good month ago.
Ah right. Well that voice chat thing surprised me but to be honest it's too late, they've already missed all the good core titles that could've done with voice chat.
I dont like the Wii Speak idea... i mean, its cool that Nintendo has finally come out with a voice chat system, but i think a headset wouldve been bttr... cuz then the ppl ur playing with can hear other ppl....or other sounds like a fart or sumthin' xD
1. Better Graphics 2. New stores3. Can carry more money
Sounds good but with the Chat system I would have to tell my brother when I'm using it. We don't call each other by our user names in the real world you know. We better get good with that before the game comes out.
well apparently it takes 3 separate patterns, which sucks (yet makes sense).
And I think the graphics have been improved since the N64, but is certainly not pushing the wii
mostly E3 crap. for example, in one of the videos, the character is wearing a red 1 shirt, but on his sleeves and back there is no 1 on it. Also he had a few example patterns like 'Shirt Patter" and "Umbrella Pattern" and all that crap. But I assume that the 4 of them were for shirt, sleeves, hat, and umbrella. there is no need for a seperate tutorial pattern for the front and back. The rest is from E3 stuff.

you probably make them with the wii remote. they are still there, as seen in the second video (I think the second one)

Currently not impressed. It just seems to mix the other Animal Crossings, nothing really original so far...

This was Nintendo's "core" game announcement? Wow, they really do suck now don't they?

We all bet this was it, and were right.
Hence, not a surprise.

It looks... nice.Though I'm not surprise with it.
Everything looks pretty much same ol'... I've played all Animal Crossings and, honestly, I'm getting tired of them.

I wonder if you can put down patterns that match the "city" part of your town.

Better graphics? Looks exactly the same as 10 years ago on the N64. (-_-)
