Actually, i would find that annoying. Stupidly missing hammer-ons is already stressful enough for me, i don't need the game telling me how my timing was. But, thats me. I like challenges, but if you like to play easy songs and try to get correct timing, then it would be a good addition to the game for you. That's fine with me.
i know DDR has it as well as other and it's fine. I like getting perfects and excellents in those kind of games, but i would find it annoying in guitar hero. It's a nice suggestion, but i don't think it will fly with most hardcore gamers.
But that's just me. The important thing is that you guys are still posting new ideas and i thank you for that :)
Silly gayb, there's already a "timing system" in Guitar Hero. If you hit the note, it plays the guitar track and you gain points. If you don't hit the note, your ears get ****ed by the screeching clank of a botched note. And finally, there's silence if you miss a note all together. True gamers and guitarist don't need anything to tell them when they hit the note dead on. It's something you feel. Something in which games like DDR can never emulate, duplicate, imitate, or reproduce.
And that was drastically off topic in so many ways, it's ridiculous. Heck, that wasn't even anywhere near the proper use of the word "spoiler". To add, there wasn't even a question at all which would even call for a correct answer. In short...
Gayb, you're a bloody idiot, ST*U.
As for Guitar Hero 3, I am rather disappointed by one character. Disappointed in a major way to which "disappointed" is a drastic understatement. Midori just needs to die. There's no J-rock/J-pop in the game, she clashes with all of the other band members, and it's generally impossible to take her as a serious guitarist. It's like one of the art directors noticed how much their kids liked anime, so they tried to make a character based off of it, only to have failed horribly and should be slapped up side the head with a barbed trout. Knock-off attempt at a Japanese school girl uniform, including a bloody backpack that a roady would more than likely be caught dead in, and hair so drasticaly puffed that she'd more than likely closeline herself just walking through a door. And to be quite honest, I can't even post my actual, on the real, totally honest thoughts on her because I'm sure it would overload the censors and crash the site. Yeah, she's that bad of a character, and I hope they leave her out of World Tour... that or make her more of a rock guitarist and not some ****ing poser.

Gayb, keep in mind that regular members are unable to do such a thing. Also keep in mind that, if it really was deleted, there was a good reason for such action. Also, don't ever say "don't delete my post ever again" because you're in no position to EVER make such a statement. Oh, and one last thing, you're a bloody idiot.
Anyway, back to Guitar Hero 3, one thing I noticed is the fact that the game now saves the cheat codes entered, including the "unlock everything" code. Personally I'm a little mixed about this because it sorta removes the purpose of playing through and earning later levels, bonus songs, and characters. At the same time, I noticed that the "unlock everything" code doesn't really unlock everything, given how some guitars that can not be selected because they wern't purchased. To add, any attempt to purchase them (on the save which has them unlocked) will result in failure, because they're marked as "sold". Personally, I kinda preferred it better when the game wouldn't save, making players go through each venue, unlocking new songs, buying bonus songs, and the like (that or entering the code again).
