I'm curious about the point system online I've seen people win 4th place and earn over a 100 points, but the person in second would only earn between 70-80, so what the fudge man?

It's got nothing to do with how good you were in the race. It's all relative to how many points you have already and how many drivers were in the race.

Sorry for the weird Quote & Reply... I'm one of those left in the dust with Explorer! lol Anyway, I believe the strange point allocation you refer to is because the person on fourth place (e.g. 4800 pts) may have beaten several people with higher scores (e.g. 6000) and the one in second place may have had 7000 points so the distribute the points based on the quality of opponents you beat on the race (e.g. 100 pts to the fourth place vs. 50 pts. for the 2nd place).... not sure this was very clear but hope it helps...
1. How do i get the blue streaks to appear in the front of the Kart/Bike? I'll just be going and then...BLAM! Blue stuff everywhere!!!
2. Blue Shell Evasion! I was just about to cross the finish line, and had given up hope cuz a blue shell was coming (I had a mushroom).Close my eyes so I don't have to see the horror, but some how the Blue Shell didn't take me out, and i got 1st! Any thoughts???
Um i have done that this is what you do you have a mushroom and then u use it 3 secs be4 its hits you and the blue shell will hit back of you but wont hit you at all. Oh and what do you mean blue streaks appear in front? I'm confused on that question sorry.
The blue streaks are extra speed you gain from following closely behind an opponent and getting in their slipstream - allowing you to dash in front of them.
I have played online but have not played agains anyone on my friend list and have a quick question regarding racing online against friends. How many people from my friends list can I race against at once? Can I do a 12 persons race with different people in my friend list? Or are races only one on one (2 against 2 if using the same console)?
Also if I have multiple active licences in my game can the second licence race against my friends as well (of course using my licence since it is the one under which most of my friends are registered)? If the first question is only one on one... that would also answer this last question.
1. yes, 12 players can partipate in an online friends match.
2. only way you can play inter-license friends matches, is by regerstering atleast one of your friends in all active licenses. and organizing a match with that friend as host. or if you get a random match up on world wide / continental races.
i hope i`ve made that clear.
other than coming 1st in every race NO...sorry.The 150cc is really hard work, you can have 3 great laps and there still on you with reds/blues/b.bills its that rubber band racing, the more you pull away the harder you get hit.grrrr no fair
thats how i got my stars.do you use manual or automatic drift maybe that makes a difference i use manual with the mach bike.i was given 2%u2606 ranking b4 coming 1st 3 times 2nd once maybe it's time based????
i dont get why you cant get stars then,if your winning all races it must be time based i suppose?
p.s sorry about the multi-posting it wasn't me all i did was refresh the page and thats what happened.i think the bugs are coming out my wii now,ive got to go.......ahhh this place is infectious.
when you do a time trial race, you need to complete the race and place any time that you can. this will unlock a staff ghost time. beat that time, it will then unlock the expert staff ghost time.
place a time on all tracks to unlock a character.
beat all standard staff times to unlock mii costume b.

I think the blue speed is a bonus you get for being behind. It most likely is random.
