Explain why pit is cheap, Ike. If anything, the character Ike is "cheaper" than Pit, and none of them are really that cheap. A pro player like you should be able to find ways around Pit.
And regarding Bubs's post: Given the overall floatiness of the game and Olimar being a lightweight, in few instances can Olimar be KOed by a spike. Let's say Ike was jumping out attempting a spike on Olimar. Olimar can easily counter by using one of his aerials, which have no starting lag, thus cancelling the spike attempt. Like I said, Olimar's downfall is recovery. But an Olimar should and will find ways to overcome it.
I forgot about ROB. I think this makes the top 5:
Olimar/Wolf for 1st or 2ndRobPitIke
Metaknight would be like number six. Metaknight counters Wolf because of the blindingly fast aerials. And after many battles with King, It's been clear that this is so. Metaknight's downfall: KO moves. But Metaknight can kill by doing a Wall of Pain going up, left, or right, which is how I usually kill.
But meta Is better than Pit and what about snake? Snake is amazing!
Meta Has 2 KO Moves Down Smash And B^ And if you dont believe meta is top 5 material Watch this as Forte a Very good meta character takes down #1 in the world Azen http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=v860celcXiw
And you'll see his Ko moves
Also Koing shouldn't be that hard considering how damage racking up his grabs and B moves are and very good ledge guarder
Snake... whenever I battled a Snake with a Pit, I never lost. Same thing with Meta Knight and Olimar... but that's just my opinion. I'd put him in like 6 or 5, even above Ike.
And most Meta Knights don't rely on the KO moves but the nasty aerial combos / Wall of Pains into a kill. I guess it could be up there along with Pit and Snake...
I use Irony to kill my opponents...jk, Meta Knight's down, aerial attack can interupt and get the opponent even farther from the ledge than before. Characters like Mario and Peach have an even harder time to recover an down-aerial attack when they're already at the corner of the screen.
Saying Meta's Problem is KO moves then saying he wont need them
Yoshi i would like to Know your opinion on G&W, Falco and DDD. I personally find Falco and G&W to be very good and some of my favorites to watch Falco's Chain Grab and G&W's Arials are amazing
Yeah, I said Meta Knight's problem is KO moves, but you can actually overcome this problem by not using it. It seems like I'm contradicting myself, but it will make sense.
Game and Watch: Nice Aerials, nice smashes, nice recovery. Downfall? Second lightest character in the game. But Game and Watch is a versatile character, so you should be able to find a way against death KO moves like the IkeSmash.
I like Falco's chaingrab and aerials. Falco can SHDL, which is good. He also has a lot of good approaches.
DDD: He's amazing. He's my second best character. His back air is great edgeguarding material, and his up and down air has multiple hitboxes. Not to mention he's very hard to knock off. He has a death KO move, which is is F-Smash, maybe even his Up Smash. His down throw is the best, and I like chain grabbing with it into a smash, but I'm not a fan of the infinite grab.
Oh, and I would just like to mention, I like discussing this stuff with you, Bubs. You bring up good points, and in the direction we're going, we might actually make a decent MiiPlaza Tier List.
In Melee, Mewtwo was a good character but since it wasn't used as much in the tornaments, it went down the melee tier ranks, right? What character is the LEAST USED? I personally only used Yoshi twice and he was the least used character to me...and what happened to Ike? Is he in the God Tier list???
ok then...Gimpyfish is known for his Bowser skills and he kicks butt with him. People like him prefers accuracy over speed...Meta Knight is both at the same time but If he gets hit by Bowser's foward smash or Charzard's side b or at 80%, he flys off the screen. My point is: why isn't Bowser, ddd, or Charzard in the list?(Donkey Kong has the worst vertical recovery.

You're right KingSlimeKnight, ICs counter Olimar almost like they counter Shiek in Melee. I don't need to mention how, as you have already done so.

Yoshi your forgetting R.O.B
He is Heavier than pit
Has a stronger fast projectile
Just as good recovery
I think he has Better Spike and arials but dont quote me on that
and Damage racking up moves
And your forgetting how ugly Olimars recovery is he is super easy to spike while hanging on his pikmin ( P.S. I would know, Olimar main :-o )
And what about Snake and Meta knight Snake's Neutral A twice does About as much As Samus' B fully charaged shot
MetaKnight has great grabs easy combos And Damage racking up moves

DDD is on the list,
Charizard: You need to use all 3 pokemon to use PT effectively
Bowser: He is good but not high tier material
Actually funny you mention DK As he is ranked higher than Bowser and PT On most lists He has Amazing Arials and How is he getting off the stage?
Meta Is most likely not getting hit by a F-smash and at 80% he'd need to be on the edge of the stage with Bowser On the stage...
Meta is fast so one of the slowest F smashes Is most likely not going to hit him
And if the person winds up for a F-Smash He can Easily Sideroll and Grabb into a combo

Bowser: He is good but not high tier material
what do you mean not high tier material? he has pretty quick attacks.
