Yeah, brainiac, Mewtwo is below Pichu because of Mewtwo's general ranking at Melee tournaments.
Now, Derreck, I see your post and how people can't agree on Tiers. Well, smashboards formulated a Melee Tier List based on hundreds, no, thousands of tournament results. It has been changed constantly. And we made Tiers based on the backed theory that if two equally skilled players fought, and one chose a Middle Tier character and the other picks a high one, then The one who picked the High Tier Character would win. BUT, Derreck, I say this is a theory because we can't grab two dead even players and give them different ranked Tier characters. In fact, there's almost no way to judge a person's skill level to the exact point. You're either good, okay, or bad. That is, in competitive standards.
Why did they make Tiers? I'm pretty sure it's just to show how your favorite character is doing in the competitive scene. Don't sweat it much about Tiers. Don't make too much of a deal. Ignore it if you want to.
Tiers aren't formed by personal opinions, or even how a character SEEMS to be. Tiers are based solely on many tournaments and endless battles. Remember that.
Diddy Kong and Kirby (and King DeDeDe and Wario but that wont guarantee a ko and you usually die without being able to escape...usually.) can get away from suicide but Diddy Kong is more safe since you can get off of the character and jump off from it but Kirby needs to meet specific circumstance that not everyone can do. Usually Bowsers suicide thingy leads to a sudden death in Wi-Fi.(but if you host a game and you use the suicide thingy, you win...i think)
Even if there is Cheap God Tier and normal God Tier, I think we need a reliable source of the most popular character...or we can vote for our favorite character.
No one has Link? he has a good set of A button attacks and his B button attacks can help link users if they have high damage because they are long attacks.
Oh really FireFox said Bowser was cheep and everyone on here thought that. (Why does he always lie to me?) diddys cheep when a button masher keeps on using his banana peels so you cant attack.
Have you guys have heard of Diddycide? It's one of the safest Suicide moves since his side b move can grab anyone in midair and when he's too close at the bottom of the screen, he can jump off and recover from death.

1. Ike: Almost no knockback Great Recovery and Can Survive 1HKO Final Smashes and is Very powerfull
2. Snake: Snake in the hands of a Great player is amazingly hard to beat
3.Olimar: Same as snake but with The Survival of 1HKO And has Good Recovery with all pikmin
TOP TIER
4. Meta Knight: Very fast Acurate and Great Recovery For the Finese Player in all of us
5. Dededee: Very Hard to knock off and great Power with Good recovery and the Waddle Dees are great for spamming
6. Toon Link: Very Good for camping with bombs and arrows and can come at you with His great power and grabs
7. Lucario: A person that DIs with Lucario Is very hard to Beat beacause of the aura and his powerful attacks
